Certified Recovery Specialist- Armstrong County

The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission is accepting applications for a full time Certified Recovery Specialist Position.  Position provides services within Armstrong County and in collaboration with local Hospitals and Physical Health Providers.  Certified Recovery Specialists provide supportive services to enhance clients’ recovery, to include but not limited to services in the following areas: coordination of care; casework activities; and aftercare.  Certified Recovery Specialists are responsible for ensuring outreach, mentoring, peer support and guidance, as well as, resource information and referral, for clients in the target population.  Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program participants before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery, in understanding and navigating the system of care, as well as to encourage and guide any necessary connections with other service systems.  Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain CRS certification within one year of hire.

 Case Management Specialist 

The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission is accepting applications for the position of Case Management Specialist.  This position is full time and travels among the Case Management Offices of the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission.  This position is responsible for evaluation of client strengths and needs, level of care assessments, referrals to treatment, developing service plans with clients, advocacy, monitoring client progress and Case Coordination Services.  This position utilizes appropriate software to track client services and serves as a liaison to clients for referrals to human service agencies.


Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and one-year experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting.  Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain Act 33, 34 and fingerprint clearances.
